Main focus in club: Oversee main annual events including Career Night, OSCE Review Night, and Art Contest. Liaison between faculty, residents, and initiatives run by our class and site representatives. Funding coordinator. Initiate Events Calendar for each year and coordinate end-of-year role handover.

Favourite part of brain: Nucleus Accumbens
Main focus in club: I am starting a new initiative within the club called the ‘High School Neurology Outreach Program’.  It involves medical students visiting high schools in Vancouver and teaching the students about basic neuroscience, how neurological disorders occur, and what we do to treat them.  I am also interested in helping others within the club accomplish their goals in the club!

Favourite part of the brain: My favourite part of the brain would have to be the pineal gland because it releases melatonin which regulates our sleep (ps: I love sleep).

VP Recruitment(vfmp 2023)

Main focus in club: My main focus in the club is to organize interactive mentorship workshops with undergraduate neuroscience students where we attempt to link a few clinical cases to what they're currently learning in class. This program will help undergraduate neuroscience students see the material in a clinical context while also providing them with opportunities to network with medical students.

VP Events Director (VFMP 2023)

Main focus in club: I manage the planning, preparation and execution of SIGN events. This is done in collaboration with enthusiastic club members with great ideas, as well as generous medical trainees and professionals who enjoy interacting with medical students.

VP Events coordinator (vfmp 2023)

Main focus in club: My main focus in the club is to coordinate events to ensure that they run smoothly and successfully so our audience get valuable takeaways! I want to lead a speed networking event to help students have more casual conversations with neurologists to learn about their specialty, careers and any advice they’d like to share.

Favourite part of the brain: Hippocampus!
